its your world.
blasts from a corner that used to be the home of
the men and women of the night
red white and blue caps are the only evidence
that they existed. now someone plays
its your world.
from a window that is left open by a cracked glass
sometimes, if the light was enuf, you can see the siloluette of a man and woman
dancing like the old people do
hand in hand, extended to the air
as if they were saluting God or Love
they tell me thats the same thing.
but I sleep through church so i cdnt tell you if thats true.
anyway,
look. look. look. you can see them
in the space above where the men and women of the night
forgave their own sins through their own cruxification
look. look. there they are. she whispers in his ear
those things that make a man smile. they spin. she dips.
he catches her. she trusts him.
i was in love once. but i made a mistake four years ago
and have been paying interest ever since.
they say, God tryna teechya somethang
well tell Him, "i had enuf learnin'"
look. look. look. she kisses him. out of nowhere.
this makes me laugh. i want them to fall out the window.
sometimes.
fall. fall. fall. fall into the space the men and women of the night left...

he said, "i'm fascinated to find out the queen of my dreams wore flip flops to the throne. she was truly an error of estimation."

i took his picture.
