seriously.
throw on some old school Billy and thank me later. Especially that "Goodnight Saigon" jumpoff. I remember first hearing that and getting chills. During my first year in college, Billy Joel came to perform in our grand auditorium. I wanted to go but the ticket price was 55 dollars and at the time that was a million bucks. My roommate went and he thoroughly enjoyed himself. Bitch. Sike nah, I really like my freshmen roommate. I really lucked out.
my mind is all over the place this week. i think it is due to the impending due dates of the numerous amounts of paperwork I have to do for work. or i dunno... a looming fear of inadequencies. (gasp!) I'm just keeping it real. You know sometimes, you feel like you aint the shit like you think you the shit. Yeah. The Lord has real clever ways of telling you this- clearly not in the same words.
I heard the new India Arie jawn. She continues to expand what she can do musically. I feel the die hard "Acoustic Soul" fans are gonna hate this album, though. She ain't the girl strumming and singing. She got beats. LoL. Look out for the "These Eyes" joint. It is a monster.
Here's another thing- I don't think you can judge music accurately if you have weak speakers. You need some really good speakers, not the ones on your Compaq, to actually HEAR music. You need some Harmon Kardons or something. Or just some with subwoofers. Get on that.
sigh. I think I am going to learn how to swim this summer. (Yeah, I can't swim)
Do you MySpace? If so, friend me and say hello. I enjoy knowing who the hell you are: www.myspace.com/chinedu83
go get some Billy Joel.

I can't swim either!
yeah...I'm feeling "the heart of the matter"
heart of the matter is dope. have you heard the entire joint?
yeah
i feel bad, even though it's on my ipeezy already i promise ima buy it when it is released
mmhmm. lol
so you made me go and listen to "these eyes" again and it seems like one of the endings for "ordinary people" "...maybe we won't survive" it's one of the stories that somehow start off as love at first sight, but sometimes shit just don't work out.
Lesson learned.
i love india.arie. i see her growth in this album. voyage to india was a journal of life lessons up to the time of its recording, she’s grown since then and testimony shows her growth through new lessons but also shows that she had to learn on old ones too. that's life. i'm relating.
and i'm about to have my own "private party" its dope when u can chill with others but one of the realist moments of my life is when I became comfortable and confident with the person I was/am that can force an impromptu "happy birthday to me"
YEAH!!!! india has done it again.
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!
