greatest story never told.

....sometimes i play with the space between her eyes and nose. i imagine its a lake, a lake that smells like vanilla soap, and my fingers are first time swimmers. they sneeze when their feet first hit the water. they have never smelled vanilla soap water so you have to bear with them. slowly, my fingers, now anxious swimmers, slowly trek to her right eye. when they make it there, her eyelashes fan their entire bodies and the water drips off their body like slow rain. drip. drip drip. and my fingers are fast learners. after a while, they take confident, gentle swoops from the blankets of her eyelashes to the hills of her nose. and they like to travel so they swim around the edges of the hills and find more water, more vanilla soap water on the other side. and they giggle like children....
